Our symposium on September 4th, 2025

🧬 Yesterday we hosted the second meeting of the spatial omics network Basel -- an initiative that aims at bringing together the spatial proteomics and transcriptomics community across life science institutes in Basel.
With over 250 registered participants from academia and industry, 10 scientific presentations showing applications ranging from translational research to developmental biology, along with the development of computational methods, introductions of many of the core facilities in the different institutes, the event highlighted how vibrant the field is already in Basel and how strong is the potential for collaborations in this ecosystem.
👏 A big thank you to the organizing committee, including members from the Department of Biomedicine and Biozentrum at the University of Basel, Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering from the ETH, Institute of Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel (IOB), Roche and Novartis who made this possible!

Stay tuned for the next event, probably in September 2026! In the meantime let us know your impressions and ideas to improve this next event. You can also join our Slack channel for discussions on the latest in the spatial omics field.
