3rd Basel Spatial Omics Symposium

Mark your calendars. The Basel Spatial Omics Network is organizing its next symposium on Friday, September 11th, 2026 in the Maurice E. Müller Hall at the Biozentrum in Basel.

Following the success of our last event, which brought together over 250 registered participants from academia and industry, the Spatial Omics Network Basel will organize its next symposium on Friday, September 11th, 2026  in the Maurice E. Müller Hall at the Biozentrum in Basel. This symposium has become a key local forum for the Spatial Omics community in Basel. This interactive full-day event will bring together researchers, technology developers, and students interested in the development and application of Spatial Omics technologies. The event will feature scientific presentations from academic and industry groups across the Basel area, including contributions from the University of Basel (Biozentrum, DBM, IOB), ETH (D-BSSE), Roche, Novartis, FMI, and BIIE. The symposium will be free of charge and is organised by the Basel Spatial Omics Network.

Scientific program (full-day)

  • Keynote presentation (Switzerland)
  • Selected and invited talks from Basel-based researchers (academic institutions and pharma)
  • Presentations of Spatial OMICS technologies from local core facilities
  • Flash talks
  • Poster session
  • Panel discussions after each session, including speakers and sponsors
  • Networking: two coffee breaks, lunch, and apéro

Deadline for abstract submissions is 30.06.2026.

Deadline for registration is Friday 04.09.2026.

Please save the date, and feel free to reach out if you would like to join the organizing team, for example via our Slack channel.

We look forward to the cool scientific discussions!
